Another Soundslide show

It’s been a while since the last post. But now I’m back with some more Soundslide-action. I’m pretty exited about this program!

Making a real nice show is harder than I thought. You can do a show very fast, but it pays of to be serious about it. It requires some planning and preparation. This time I went to a sports arrangement in the nearby park. ‘Alt for Damerne’ is a danish magazine for women. Every year they arrange a running event for women only. 5 or 10 kilometers. The whole thing is more networking, having fun and to socialize than it is a competition. I have a friend on flickr.com, Marianne, and she was to run the 5 km. I would like to interview her with my audio device and she agreed. An interview in the slide show is great because it adds personality. She was great and I really appreciate her help.

Until now I have some few guidelines for making a great slide show:

1- Record plenty of sound from the different scenarios on the location. For this event it would be the audience, the speaker, audio from the runners: feet against the pavement, the starting gun shot etc. I made the mistake that I did’nt get any audio from the warm-up sessions. Too bad, because I had plenty of funny photos from the warm-up.

2- The audio part has to be relevant. Not just some background noise.

3 – An interview with a participant is very effective and add some human touch and personality. Avoid to much background noise here. The interview can be layered on top of some other track.

See the show here and remember sound :-)

(tempoarily out of order…sorry!)
