They stole my picture! – Part 2

November 30, 2007

These days are not fun at all! As I wrote in the previous post a website has stolen a photo of mine. Now it has happened again! This time it is a danish dance instructor that I’ve photographed earlier this year during a national competition. Recently I walked up to her and told her to either remove the photo or put my name there with the photo. She said that she would do it and since we talked nothing has happened. It’s been more than two weeks now.

I don’t think the instructor (I don’t want to publish a name here) understand how important this is. I’ll be back again when I have news about this….hopefully soon!

They stole my picture!

I did a search recently for photos on Google.com for Bachata dance photos (Bachata is a passionate dance from The Dominican Republic). And what came up? My own photos of Bachata dancers – and that is nice. But on another website than mine! Not that nice! A tourist website had my picture posted from a danish national Bachata competition. And, for the record, without asking first. The couple on the photo is my dance instructor and her friend. I went to the ‘contact’ site for the website and wrote to them about my problem. And guess what? The form did’nt work! ‘There seems to be a problem with the email form. Try again later.’ Great!!

Have you ever tried something like this? Living in Denmark I can’t just walked up to them and talk about it.

Should I be proud or just let it go?
